"Hello" and more from DT Chloe Nielsen

My page titled “Hello” was created for a mixed media challenge. Now, I’m not a regular mixed media scrapper, but it’s fun to get a bit “messy” every now and again, right? I do admit to being quite conservative, using stamps, masks, gesso, paint and mists in small amounts.

I chose to use the FWAB JESSIE FLOURISH in black – it adds some texture to my messy-ish background – it almost looks like dribbled paint like that, don’t you think?
My next project “Nice List”, I’ve gone all non-traditional Christmas again.  This time, I have gone with a pretty pastel colour combo.
The FWAB JASMINE PUFFY FLOURISH in Lilac was the perfect colour choice – as you can see I cut it up to suit my cluster.  You will also see some gorgeous FWAB flowers featured – a Maddison flower in Teal, and a small Maddison flower in lilac.  I just LOVE this colour combo!
My next layout “Stay till the sun sets” is for the October Scrapbooking Top 50 Mood board challenge.  I love this sunset pic, taken while we were at the beach last year.  We went back to the same beach this year, and this time I braved an early start for some sunrise photos!  (which will probably appear on a page soon enough ;) )
So, on this page, I used a small FWAB MADDISON flower in orange for a pop of colour and the FWAB JACK VINE in black which was the perfect touch of whimsy (again, cut to fit around my cluster – I’m so glad these are easy to cut!!).

These vines are just my FAVE!!  I love that they come in THREE different shades of green, plus black!  A staple in my stash, that’s for sure.

Happy Day layout and Easel Stacker card by Leanne Nankervis

Hi Everyone!

Leanne Back to share another couple of projects with you today, using lovely products from FWAB.

Layout Happy Day!

For my layout Happy Day, I created this page using the lovely Scents of Nature Paper collection. I’ve used some chipboard to add some layers to my flower cluster, along with the FWAB Grace pink pearl flourish. I have also used the pink large FWAB Maddison flower and a small white Maddison flower from FWAB in my cluster and mixed in a variety of flowers and leaves, along with some di-cuts for texture.

The photo is from my friends sons wedding this year, I really loved the flowers in the wedding bouquet the colours are so pretty, and wanted to capture this in my layout.

My Flourish with a Bling embellishments was the perfect colours for completing my layout.

Card Best Wishes

For my second project I made and Easel Stacker Card with my leftover papers, for my FWAB products, I used the FWAB Chloe pearl flourish which I cut into pieces, which is what I usually do, as I like to get the most out of my product. I started with my flourish from the back layer and bringing it forward into each layer, finishing off at the small section at the front.

I used a small pink FWAB Maddison flower on my middle layer amongst my embellishment cluster.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

DT Leanne Nankervis' gorgeous new layout & card

Hi Everyone! Leanne popping in to share a layout and a card with you today, using some of the beautiful products from Flourish with a Bling.

Layout Spread your Wings and fly

For my layout I used the new Kaisercraft Golden grove paper range, I love the yellows, greens and the florals. And the FWAB flowers were the perfect accompaniment for this page.
I did quite a bit of background stamping and some layering techniques. I’ve used lots of collectables from the golden grove range as well to layer, mixing some loose beads in for added texture.
For my FWAB products I used the Yellow Maddison flowers 3pk and the Elise White 4 pack, for my flourish I used the Chloe Pearl which I cut up, and used around my layout. I also separated some of the larger pearls and placed them under the bottom of my photo to frame the corner.

 Birthday Card Golden Grove

With some of the left over papers I made a Z fold card, I used the Jasmine puffy flourish in Orange, I think these are my new favourite flourishes now; I love the puffiness and the sparkly glitter affect they give.
And in amongst my flower cluster, I have used the Elise flower 4pack in Gold.Don’t forget for all your FWAB products to stop by the shop at https://www.flourishwithabling.com.au/store/

Chloe Nielsen shares a few gorgeous DT creations

In my page titled “Miss B”, I’ve gone all flowery and pretty :).
The FWAB Jack Vine in Green was perfect to add to my cluster – I love the bright vibrant green it adds, too!  I cut it all up, adding leaves here and there, all around.  (They work really well with my paper leaves.)  I’m such a fan of cutting up vines and flourishes!
You’ll see I’ve added some FWAB flowers too – these are my favourite flowers – so many colours and different styles and sizes make clustering a breeze.  I’ve used 2 FWAB flowers on this page:  Elise flower in cream and a Maddison flower in yellow.
*
Spot the Goanna was created for the July challenge at Show Us Your Stuff.
The July challenge is all about nature – so I used a photo of a massive goanna we found on the farm – it always amazes me how big these animals grow!

The nature theme was perfect to add a FWAB Lee’s Tree!  How cool does it look in my cluster!
I have also used a FWAB Elise Flourish in Antique Brown, cut up and added to my cluster also.
Then, you’ll see some FWAB Black Adhesive Pearls scattered around the page.
I kept my FWAB products to earthy, natural colours and they all match perfectly to the theme of my page :)
*
XOXO is a Christmas page using non-traditional colours – I’m a bit of a fan of non-traditional :).
I’ve added lots of FWAB Adhesive Pearls in Teal all over my page – lots in groups of 3 for visual appeal, and some on top of other embellishments.
Then, if you look carefully, I’ve tucked some FWAB Nicky’s Beach Huts under my layers!  It’s fun to think outside the box with FWAB products, they don’t always have to be used for a set theme :).
These red beach huts were a perfect match for my colour scheme, and they look a bit like cool arrows when they are just peeking out of the layers.
A very big thank you Chloe for the 3 amazing bright and cheery layouts you have shared with us today. We just love how you think out of the box and use our products in so many varied ways showing how versatile our products are.
Happy scrapping everyone,

A big welcome to our New DT member - Leanne Nankervis

*****A very big welcome to new DT member – Leanne Nankervis*****

Hello FWAB fans, we hope that your weekend is going well so far! We are so happy to introduce to you our latest addition to the FWAB Design Team, Leanne Nankervis!
We are so excited to have Leanne join us and look forward to sharing with you Leanne’s very first layouts for us. But first, a little bit about Leanne –
Bio:
Hello, I’m Leanne I live in Geelong Victoria. I am married with 3 children, and love to
Scrap the moments we share in our lives. I work fulltime so scrapbooking is my relax and down time, my place to escape and unwind. I have been scrapbooking for 13 years, and love it as much as the day I started. I love to create layouts, cards, and mixed media, to dabble in a bit of everything. I’m very happy to be designing for FWAB because I’m a bling girl, and I just love all the pretty things.
For my first project I have done a beach layout little Fisherman/girl. I used an old photo of my daughter Alannah when we did our trip around Australia in 2011, catching fish in a net at Hilarys boat harbour in Perth. I used some 49 market sea papers; I did some stencilling and used some prima oil pastels for colouring. For my embellishments I have used the FWAB Maddison Teal flower, and the FWAB Jasmine Teal laser flourish.
I cut the Teal flourish I love to get the most out of my elements in a layout.
For my next layout Beautiful, I have used the Prima Rose Quartz papers, the photo is my friend and her daughter, who did a photo shoot recently. I love the photos I just wanted to use them, For this page I used the FWAB Luke chocolate Metallicwhich has that lovely bronze look to it, which went perfect with the metallic bronze in the paper, though its hard to see. And for my floral cluster I used aFWAB Maddison flower in pink, perfect colour to blend in with all the other elements.
Close up of the Luke chocolate metallic which I cut up into pieces and used around my layout.
Close up of the flower cluster and of the pretty Maddison flower.
Hope you have enjoyed looking at these projects, be sure to stop by shop store andgallery for more inspiration. Till next time happy crafting.
